The mission at Drivible is to enable dealerships to find all their documents, data and information within seconds. But what if you don't want to find certain documents?
Because many dealerships use Drivible for auditing purposes, we can't simply allow users to delete whatever they want, so we have created the soft-delete feature.
What is soft-delete?
Essentially, when you delete a file or document in Drivible we will flag it so that it disappears from view for the majority of your users. By default, dealership users will not be able to see 'deleted' files, but for certain types of users (Admin and auditors) they can still view these files.
How do some users view deleted files?
For each user, go into the Users settings and for each applicable user, change the Access for 'Soft-delete' to Full Access.
Admins can see Deleted Files regardless of access level.
How do I delete a File?
Within the file you wish to delete, go to the menu and then select Delete. Next, confirm that you wish to delete the file.
After a refresh, this file will now be hidden from all users who don't have access to deleted files.
You can only delete an individual file. Deleting a contact, company or associated file will not delete the files attached to that entity or document.
Can I reverse a deleted file?
Yes, admins and users with soft-deleted access can Restore documents previously deleted.
Go to the menu within the file, then Restore. Next confirm that you wish to restore.
Can I find all the deleted files?
Yes, in the Table View find the column for Deleted. Then Select the filter and select Yes.
