The first thing any dealership needs to understand when implementing digitized documents in their processes is that staples prevent you from reaching your potential. The time (and frustration) it takes to remove staples, simply is not worth the upside of document scanning.

So what are the solutions?

Staples can be replaced with these simple clips, which are cost-effective, reusable, and don't damage paper, which with no holes can also prevent paper jamming during scanning. They are most easily fitted with a purpose-built dispenser.

Many dealerships are now using clear plastic sleeves to store their deal packs and repair orders. Not only do they keep all the pages together, but they also protect the pages from grim and grease which can be a problem experienced in service departments.
